“My childhood bends beside me. Too far for me to lay a hand there once or lightly. Mine is far and his secret as our eyes. Secrets, silent, stony sit in the dark palaces of both our hearts : secrets weary of their tyranny : tyrants, willing to be dethroned.”– Ulysses by James Joyce.

This is pure indulgence. These paintings are so delicious I couldn’t resist a posting. Just imagine having ANY of them (especially the Hartigan, de Kooning or the Soulanges) on your wall at home… oh my!

Many thankx to the Guggenheim Museum for allowing me to publish the pictures in the posting. Please click on the pictures to see a larger version of the image.

“What we are trying in all these discussions and talks here, is to see if we cannot radically bring about a transformation of the mind. *Not accept things as they are* – but to understand it, to go into it, examine it, give your heart and your mind with every thing that you have to find out. A way of living differently. But that depends on you and not somebody else. Because in this there is no teacher, no pupil. There’s no leader, there is no guru, there’s no master, no savior. You yourself are the teacher, and the pupil, you’re the master, you’re the guru, you are the leader, you are everything! And, to understand is to transform what is. “

Too late.

They say I’m either born too late or too early. Does it make a difference? No.

Let’s cut the crap.

“Give me life. Give me pain. Give me myself again.”

Throughout all these years, humanity has built a complex world. We have been witnesses to our own evil actions, that kept degrading everybody’s lives.
But PEOPLE ARE CAPABLE OF GOOD. We are capable of erasing or correcting our own mistakes and therefore to reconstruct a sustainable society and to recreate our life’s shape.

WATCH,Post, Share,Talk about the ideas and goals, involved in this movement.

Art Corner-René Magritte.

“Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist.”

I would like to dedicate a post of mine,to the genius of Rene Magritte, my favorite of the favorites painters, and one of the most extraordinary artists. Below, there are shown some of my favorite works of him and the mystery and absolute attractive nothingness behind them.Enjoy.

Les Amants. (The Lovers)
Everything we se hides another thing; we always want to see what is hidden by what we see.

Le noctambule.
An object never serves the same function as its image – or its name.

The face of genius.
The mind loves the unknown. It loves images whose meaning is unknown, since the meaning of the mind itself is unknown.

The reckless sleeper.
If the dream is a translation of waking life, waking life is also a translation of the dream.

Le Miror Magique.
Only thought can resemble. It resembles by being what it sees, hears, or knows; it becomes what the world offers it.

The spirit of geometry.
To be a surrealist… means barring from your mind all remembrance of what you have seen, and being always on the lookout for what has never been.

The Pilgrim.
A truly poetic canvas is an awakened dream.

Time transfixed.
Life obliges me to do something, so I paint.

The upcoming one is my favorite.

Personal Values.
An object never serves the same function as its image – or its name.
